On 11 July MACS founders Chris & Björn are doing the Morecambe Cross Bay Walk for One Woman At A Time, a charity that empowers women and girls to overcome the challenges of forced marriage, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), and domestic abuse.
The MACS team is hoping to raise £200 for the charity, in addition to the £40 booking fee, which will:- Provide over 6 months of safety, food, and education in a refuge/school;
- provides reusable sanitary wear for 20 girls for 5 years
- enable 10 women to become a nurse, teacher, or attend university or
- provide 13 women with a plough, seeds, and training to grow food to feed her family and earn an income.
