On Sunday 21 November we will be hosting a workshop on “Music, sexism & misogyny”.
In the workshop we look at what misogyny and sexism in music is, what messages are promoted through popular music and what these lyrics are telling us about the society we live in.
We will be looking at songs from the start of the 20th century all the way to the present day across genres including pop, rock, metal and rap. We will also consider how we can become more mindful of the kind of views we consume through music, what we can do to change this and some of the non-sexist and feminist music that is out there.
