Join MACS volunteer David Brooks on Saturday 22 October for his panel / round-table discussion “Pornography and Male Entitlement” at our Conference in Cardiff.
The session will focus on themes arising from Melinda Tankard Reist’s new book ‘He Chose Porn over Me’. The book focuses on the personal accounts of 25 women who experienced real-life trauma they at the hands of their porn-consuming partners whose stories tell of the crushing of intimacy, respect, connection, love.
The experiences of these brave women will be the basis of a wider discussion, including aspects such as the global porn industry, radical feminist vs liberal feminist view of porn and wider issues such as male entitlement, the impact this has on women more generally, how we can increase our awareness of our entitlements and the harm we do when we’re not aware of this.
